Improv Club started on Thursday, August 24th. It is led by drama teacher Mr. Morris and held in the school theatre. It is almost always on Thursdays at lunch, and is open to anyone who wants to go. There is no commitment, and students can either participate or just watch. Improv Club was created to give the Drama program more exposure, and to provide an outlet where people can just have fun. So far it has had a lot participants, with around 50-70 people each week, including thespians, new students, etc. According to thespian Joseph Covington, drama is an elective that you can take all four years of high school and can letter in. Drama teaches many skills and has many branches, such as tech, crew, stage managing, acting, film critic, directing, playwriting, costume/makeup, and communication. Going to Improv Club gives members 0.5 Thespian points, 10 of which means you can indict as a Thespian. Improv club started on Thursday, August 24th and is a good way to socialize with other people and get involved with the Drama community.
