The month of April is Poetry Month, and the America Library of Poetry is holding their 22nd annual National Student Poetry Contest. Schools across the nation are participating in this contest, which is open to grades 3-12, and divided into four divisions: grades 3-5, 6-7, 8-9, and 10-12. The deadline is April 30th, and the chosen winner will recieve a grand prize of $500. There will also be prizes for participating, which will be chosen at random. There is no fee to enter, and there will be 36 prizes awarded in total. Entered poems cannot be more than 20 lines, and must be appropriate for school. To enter, students can get entry forms from the library.
